Wayne Barnes (born 20 April 1979) is an English retired rugby union referee. He is considered one of the most experienced and respected referees in the sport, having officiated in numerous high-profile matches.
Early Life and Career: Barnes qualified as a referee at the age of 15. He quickly progressed through the ranks, officiating in the National Leagues before becoming a professional referee.
International Refereeing: He made his international debut in 2006 and went on to referee matches in the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Rugby%20World%20Cup">Rugby World Cup</a> (2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, 2023), Six Nations Championship, and The Rugby Championship.
